THE STAXX as its been dubbed, is... well... stacked... as you can see, so, yeah, "the Staxx." I know, we put a lot of thought into it. It actually got this way because this is one of the rooms with no activity... like at all. And by activity, i don't know how much you've read about the Asylum here, but it's got some character... has it's way of... touching you.
Yes, like "the grudge", exactly....
ANYWAYS, It was the storage room office space on the first floor behind the cafeteria, where files and whatever were stored. Maybe even a privet or secret office or something. I could see those crooked murderous bastards sneaking in some desk nookie between torture sessions in here. Glad it wasn't though, because then there might be some ...activity ...and WE DON'T WANT THAT!!! Bearnardo gutted it out, and cut a section of wall out and put in a soundproof sliding window, like a studio sound booth window, so you can see and talk to whoever's in the cafeteria, but still close it off and get stuff done. Lined the whole room with crates which are filled with books and records and cds, tossed in a cot to knock out on, and a couch and some folding chairs, and a few turntables and some amps and we had us a pretty sweet little control and sound room. Not too long ago, Slikk put in a few monitors and computers, cheap stuff but stuff that'll do the job... we're running on donations here... we give all the music away... and so now we can use it for a small studio room as well, but the main part of this room is mostly where folks go to chill, read, listen to some music or something, but like a solo room. Like our personal time out corner. Gets frickin HOT in there, but like i said... NO ACTIVITY. When we jam in the cafeteria we can run whatever mic lines and cords or whatever from the Staxx and not have it in the way, or just do it in the Staxx if it's not like a full on everybody take stage positions recording sesh. Pretty versatile space. But yeah, that equipment COOKS the place.
Good old cork board and new lava lamp, in THE STAXX. There's a lot of stuff stacked in there. I have no idea where it came from. Like George Carlin going on about people's "STUFF", We go in there, write, read, just hang out, but Slikk is in there most if he's looking for a quiet spot to read or listen to some music or whatever. Most of the good things in there is Slikk's tho. Most of the things in bottles, because there is a good share of that in there, hahaha, is split between Tyy and me (Zeph), but Charlie keeps a bottle in there too for if and when she gets a craving or something from her Vampire half. She keeps a flask on her, because even though she's only half vampire she still gets a little craving now and then. "The Thirst" as its been called... kinda like a vampire chemical imbalance if they don't feed on some blood because they're actually almost kinda like anemic... not a lot of people know that. She was explaining it to me one time, but it was a lot of alchemy and chemistry and i'm like, dude, i feel sorry for you but i"m never gonna fully understand it cause i'm no part vampire, ya know? Kinda sucks when your friends inherit some crap from their parents, but it's good to have a place to go to chill out and kinda take your mind off of it. Also good to have cool friends to help. I don't see how any of us could donate blood for her though. In what way?! Anyways, they have this like blood substitute stuff, synthetic, they have it at Draghoul's, a bar we hit now and then.... takes the edge off.
Anyways, yeah, Slikk and Charlie and me might come in here, chill out, throw some darts... those two are the readers though. Charlie has a library, tho, so... we all have our spots.
