Song Breakdown: Coming Down (Pt. 1 Backstory and Visuals)

Willy Wonka much? Who said what now? Aaaah boy. SO, this one. Wow. You really wanna do this? Hahahaha. Don't get me wrong. Maybe one of the deeper songs we've done (for this project anyways). It's up there in my personal favorite songs we've done... I don't have a top five, but it's in the top five. So, since we're here..let's get into the song here. That's "fair" right? Keep in mind, the only thing fair in "living" is that doing it is unfair to everyone. Being it is fair. Living/doing it and BEing it are two different things. ANYWAYS....
Ok, so since it's a LOT here in this song, we'll go overall the general description... and then origin of the song, the back story of where it came from.. aaaannnnd i guess we could do the image art as well. With the current (newest) cover image art there's usually the song attached, so yeah, that, should have a download link or something... and under that let's toss in the video, text vid that's on the youtube... and that should do it for now. We can break down the words later because that's like an all day thing. Really.
"Coming Down" General Overall Description
Don't worry, as i'm writing, 'm thinking, so this is gonna be long, but i'm trying to paint it as clear... rather i'm tryna reproduce the breakdown as clear as i can. The clear part was the actual song, hahahaha, dig me? But, to explain an explanation is what we're doing here. So, here goes... So in one sense, the song's about Being(s).. in this game. There's BEING which is the complete everything. Check out that "Book Of The Fire" in the blog.. it breaks all this down. Book of 3's. But yeah, dig, there's BEING BEing Being(s). That's everything... like, EVERYTHING. You level up to One(ness) which is all three as one. One(ness) comes down to all One specific way. So BEING (oneness) BEing (coming down into/as) Being (one way of being, be-coming one thing, or BEING coming down into one thing... a person, grass, air, a thought, a spirit, a dog, a planet, space.... one thing only)... Now it's an eternal cycle. The WHOLE breaking down into multiple parts which if you step back you see EVERYTHING but as individuals... When whatever is COMING DOWN goes BACK UP to ONENESS then you see the same EVERYTHING but as oneness, aka the WHOLE picture. The energy of Coming Down is a pulse. The energy of Going Up is a pulse. Both pulses are of the same thing, COMPLETE BEING. So COMPLETE BEING coming down and going up, both pulses create a VIBRATION. And that is the vibration of all that is. So, from that you get that line in the chorus, "I pray Y'll forgive this way WE came up, and coming down maybe we'll be saints again..." No, that's not deep at all. Yes, cartoon clowns did this in a song.
The sound is kinda like a funky grunge'ish or maybe post-grunge.... genre's are kinda dumb, but i get it. Like if you wanted to describe a song, like we're doing now, you'd just say a genre, so their mind points to a vibe and group of songs with the kinda same underlying structure and sound, and you go "OH, yeah, i dig that. I can deal with that right now." Like a spiritual heads up on a vibe coming your way. Either dive in deep or dodge, baby! Anyways, a lot of our songs most folks can't describe fully because there's so many elements in it, even at it's most basic. But this one, ok, lets go with.... Bluesy lo-funk trip-grunge-hop. Hey, you wanted to know. Comment what you think it would be. Moving on.....
Origin of "Coming Down" (Backstory)
How this understanding came about was having a conversation one rainy night, at a bar, with a kid who was back after being gone. Some folks come down through lightning. Tunnel of light? Some of you call that reincarnation with understanding and full awareness and memory of "past life" but it's not a past life. It's just another portion of THIS life. I learned there's just LIFE, one of them, so YOLO is true. Or even better, it's YOL, You Only Live, and that once never ends, however that once plays out an infinite number of ways, util your one mind actually experienced being as EACH AND EVERY THING THAT CAN AND WILL BE (or IS because to you it's always the present when you're doing it). Anyways, dig, so, the kid was on their who knows how many'th trip here to humanity after being aborted... maybe to us it was yesterday, but on the other side time doesn't exist, there's just the energy of the vibration, so you could be born in three years from today, die and come back twenty ago from today, to experience going to your funeral of that three year old kid, seeing it like, "poor kid... i wonder what happened." which influences the vibration you're in right now, might make you appreciate your time more. So you experienced the death of a younger you you didn't know is you so that the younger you could inspire the older you to live more... to the fullest. Whatever tho. So, we was there, in the storm, toasting to the beauty and raw nature of pure BEING, and consciousness and divinity in human being (the human way of BEing).... and a lot of other stuff. All of it makes sense. None of it matters in a way. I was wondering how many people would ever get to know about this whole process, and how there's a lot of living that gets a darker vibration because darker things want that consciousness and focus-- that attention, so things here get a little.... blaah and yuck, dig me? So, wrote that on a napkin.
"Coming Down" Image Art
Took the first song image or cover picture while on the way back to the Asylum. It was just interesting that after that conversation, the storm was still going on. It had actually picked up a bit, from rain to a little period of lightning, which is what this pic is. I was thinking about how he said he was so dehydrated when first coming down, all of the rush of the lights and it burning... it's an intense thirst, like you are a mind, kinda, at that point. And there's this intense thirst and hunger to want to understand that one way of being, you burn for it, so you are shot thru that light, which is all of the other ways that one way could go, to that one specific individual way of BEing that one Being. Ride the lightning. So, yeah, took that, got wet trudging on thru the rain... got back to the looney bin, worked on the tunes "later" on after that. Now, later... whatever. What's "recent" when there is no time, only being, ya dig me? Right now is waaay back when, plus infinite, plus never here cause of the next right now that just took its place...s....
So, dig it, this pic above is the first image art for the song. This is the one that was actually done for the song specifically. This pic below is actually the second cover, or the second song image art for the song. Charlie did a pic and it reminded me of the song and so we used it for the song art. There are elements in the first cover image that paint the picture, but some in this one that may be a little more "direct"? I dunno. More spot on, maybe? It's a pic of a kid standing in front of some wings on the ground. This really happened. This wasn't planned or scripted. Yes an actual animal/being was probably murdered and eaten, which is how the wings got there. Walking down the street one day, just happen to walk up on two wings on the sidewalk. Laid out just like they are there in the pic. Standing there looking at it, the shot was taken... shown to Tyy, and he was like, "You,peep this. Picture says a million words, huh?" and it really hit me, so, we asked for it. This one right here....
Kid just walking down the street and BOOM... you see that. Just as it is.Scene of the crime. Noting moved or added or taken away. No blood. Don't know what happened but its kinda clear what happened, but still.... what happened?! Anyways, so Tyy gets this and I gives it to Charlie. Charlie did her graphics thing and here's the cover. Her and Byrdo are the true nerds. Like ok, some graphics stuff i know and get, but they get really artsy with it. Tyy is more street art, graffiti, and punk style looking stuff. Anyways, the Nerds worked on this together. Charlie was digging the philosophy behind Byrdos logo he made for his stuff, so she spliced that in. They were telling me how there's a thing about WATER coming down to the FIRE, and the it clicked... This is about COMING DOWN, so she stuck the name on there, and there we go. Second artwork for the song. It's cool when the image describes the song. That's what we go for.
